Fair Number Of Trees For Fairlands

For those with a very short memory (or who didn't see the post), today was tree planting day in Fairlands Park. I popped down briefly, accompanied by my able assistant (WP Junior) and between us we planted four trees to go with what looked like hundreds of others that had been planted earlier. In fact the entire boundary along the fence shared with 'Goals' is now destined to be a thick wooded band of trees in years to come.

There were lots of people involved in the planting. Pictured left helping out are Cllr Eric Allen, Alan Plant and Rona Forzani, the three Conservatives who will be standing in Nonsuch ward (North Cheam and Worcester Park) in next years council election. I asked one of the Lib Dems to provide me with a photo of them as well for the sake of balance. I have still yet to receive one. If and when I do I will put it up as well.

Either way well done to everyone who participated. It will be great to watch this area grow up over the coming years.
