Dramatic Events

I have only recently become aware that for the past 85 years there has been a Worcester Park Dramatic Society, going about their business of rehearsing and putting on quality productions under our very noses (or at least mine).

My Father was an actor and while I was growing up my parents were involved with a similar amateur theatre group (and I did a bit of thespian type stuff too) so it was a pleasant surprise to find there is such a group in Worcester Park.

It just so happens that the WPDS are putting on their latest production, 'Brush With A Body' next Thursday, Friday and Saturday (21st - 23rd November) at the Adrian Mann Theatre at Nescot in Ewell (Reigate Road, KT17 3DS).  This is a comedy drama by Maurice McLoughlin set in the 1960′s Hampstead home of the Walling family, where the accidental dislodging of a mystery shoe by a chimney sweep leads to all sorts of drama and revelations...

Tickets are only £10 or £5 if you are 12 or under.

WPDS put on two productions each year at The Adrian Mann Theatre in Ewell. They rehearse and have their scenery store at the Elmcroft Community Centre in North Cheam and they are always looking for new members.

There are membership options for those who would like to take part in the productions and those who just like the social side. Membership includes a free ticket to all major productions (if you are not in them that is).

For more information please see their website here or their facebook page here.
