Sutton Police Open Day

The local Police Safer Neighbourhood Team Sergeant has contacted me about the Police Open Day at Sutton Police Station this Sunday (2nd June) in case I might like to promote it. I know, I know its way off in Sutton and not remotely within the bounds of Worcester Park, but I could hardly refuse our local Worcester Park top cop and they have been doing a pretty good job round here recently, and it well, might be really interesting, so here it is…

On the 2nd June from 11am until 4pm (last entry at 3:30) you can go in and see what goes on inside Sutton Police station.

Attractions include:
  • Bomb squad
  • Police dogs/puppies
  • Mounted branch
  • Historic uniform unit
  • Vintage police vehicles
  • Traffic Unit with police car and bike
  • Serious Crime Directorate murder scene
  • Flyover by the police helicopter - India 99
(The attendance of the above items will be subject to operational
availability)
  • Custody suite tours to visit the cells
  • CCTV talks in our control room
  • Public order displays
  • CID observation game for youngsters
Plus many stalls for information about:
  • Police volunteers
  • Police Special Constables
  • Police Cadets
  • Street Pastors
  • Neighbourhood Watch
  • Crime prevention
  • Police licensing


Worth noting: On entry, you will be required to give your name and be subject to a search of any bag you are carrying.
