Open Mic at the HG Wells

HG Wells pub

The HG Wells pub in Cheam Common Road is starting an open mic night every Thursday evening starting on Thursday the 6th June (Not this Thursday but the next one), bringing back live music to the old Drill.

If you’ve ever fancied yourself as a bit of a musical performer, you are encouraged to bring your instrument along at 8pm and sign up for your 15 minutes of fame. Whether you are a complete open mic novice, or a seasoned singer songwriter, or you would just like a great night of free musical entertainment - all are welcome.

A full PA with some good mics and stands are provided and the evening is being coordinated by Ben and Tixia Henderson who are musical professions and have been organising events like this for over ten years. You are welcome to bring your own amp if you want. There is no drum kit as space is a bit limited but you are welcome to bring percussion.

Its good to see more live music and a chance for local talent to be heard in the area. I hope people will go along and have a play or support those who do!
