Lovely Jubilee

The flags and the bunting are out (thanks to the Worcester Park Station Volunteers and the Worcester Park Womens' Institute) and hundreds of local residents will be taking to the streets for a long weekend of celebrations.

Diamond Jubilee street parties are being held in the the following roads in Worcester Park, which will be subject to road closures:
  • Marlfield Close
  • Leyfield
  • Manor Close
  • The Hollands
  • Beverley Road
  • Boscombe Road
  • St Philips Avenue
  • Longfellow Road
  • Donnington Road
In the words of Chinese Canteen in Central Road, I hope you have a Jubbilee Time!

And our road was closed....but it was only used for about an hour.......but the people that closed were being very jobs worth and insisted on keeping the road closed signs up...very very selfish not to mention stupid and ridiculous, people should be more responsible and considerate!

Nice to see my old road, Longfellow had a party. The road I live in now, being a cul-de-sac would have made a good venue BUT there's only one problem.Unfriendly awful neighbours!

shame, it would be far more suitable to have held a street party in a cul de sac rather than a busy through road.

I got the blog's address by a cousin of mine who lives in England. I told her about the balloon and how lucky it was that it arrived here. Quite a trip !
