Currying Favour

A warm welcome to Worcester Park's newest takeaway - Zahra's Bangladeshi cuisine opened last week in Windsor Road (next to the former Mike's Music shop).

In an act of tireless and selfless service to the people of Worcester Park I popped along on Friday night for a takeaway (a steal given that they are running at '50% off' special opening offer) - absolutely fantastic food, with wonderful flavours and none of the bloated feeling you normally get after a Friday night curry session.

Do check them out - and tell us your thoughts on this or any other Worcester Park eatery on the restaurant/take away review page of the blog.

Once that is established and more of the Bangladeshi community follow, there will definitely be a mosque within a few years in Worcester Park. Watch this space............

Just had a takeaway on your recommendation. Excellent ingredients but very bland flavour

Anonymous, what an ignorant statement to make. Do you think a Bangladeshi community will emerge from one Bangladeshi takeaway opening? If that was the case, Worcester Park would be full of Italians.

Tried it for the first time on Saturday night. Normally I tend to stick to tried and tested venues when ordering a take-away, but decided to give Zahra's a try - so glad I did, it was really good food, ordering for 6 so tried various dishes of chicken, lamb and beef and each one was really tasty and the quality of the meat was excellent. Food portions were larger than some of the other local take-aways which was a welcome surprise. Rice was yummy too!! Not cheap but not over priced - great food, value for money and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. We all enjoyed the food and I would definately order from there again.

I have also tried the new takeaway on Windsor Road, Worcerster Park called Zahra's must say I was surprised with the quality of food. The portions were good size too. I ordered for the whole family of 5 and just like anonymous above said very good value for money. I'll defo order from them again. Will recommend to anyone who want a proper authentic meal.
