For one stranded X26 bus in Worcester Park today, Croydon seemed a long long way off...

It was all too much for one weary passenger stuck on the bus awaiting rescue.....

Thankfully Thames Water were on hand with their idea of the year - reduce Central Road to one lane for water mains works, spilling water onto the remaining lane which promptly turned into an ice rink...

Whilst those with rear-wheel-drive automatic cars needed no help getting stuck. Just a little help getting up the hill.

So it's Thames Water making WPark traffic worse than usual. Couldn't believe that it wasn't so much the snow as these roadworks slowing things.
Really the council should get a grip on these things, do it at night.

Wonderful timing, not.
