Vin Bin Thank You Man

A warm welcome to Worcester Park's newest shop 'Vin Bin', the off licence which has opened in the former Barn Glass premises (opposite the North End Tavern).

I am curious, though, as to how we are to pronounce it.

Presumably it's pronounced 'Van Bin', not 'Vinn Binn'. Or are boh words supposed to rhyme  ('Van Ban')?

Cheers!

It's a play on 'sin bin' no? So I would presume the latter.

Location. Location, Location (Not)

The location isn't great (opposite pub & Sainsburys)...I'm guessing rents are cheaper than on the high street.
Having said that I'll be going there to get my vino instead of Sainsburys...I'm guessing the choice and the service will be more interesting!!

Does anyone know what's happening to the other half of the shop? It seems to be being used as a store room but it's getting more filled up with stuff every time I pass it!!

had a nose yesterday, nice bloke thought the prices were very high though, although he did say they were competitive and would offer a case discount. I couldn't help thinking why didn't he take the shop next door as you have more shop frontage, at the moment you wouldn't know it was there. Might pop in to get the odd bottle though if i need it.

I don' think the location's that bad. Handy for people living around the top of Central Road.

Plus it's dead close to the Catholic church - if they can do a good deal on red wine, they'll be raking it in!

Went there yesterday and they were very friendly. Prices seemed reasonable to me for an independent store. They weere offering wine tasting samples which was a nice touch.Let's hope they are successful as it would be good to get a success story - I think they will pick up some passing foot traffic when people are walking back from work but may need to think about where people park if driving. I wish them well.

Just been to the "vin bin" and bought a rose and a nice red, manager/owner was very enthusiastic and informative and not pushy at all. Makes a change from buying standard sav blanc all of the time

I have been in Vin Bin on several occasions and now would not buy my wine anywhere else. They really know what they are talking about, there prices are extremely reasonable and to top it off they are a lovely couple that run it

Vin Bin is simply excellent! Completely different to an off licence and way better than places like Sainsburys (plus cheaper). Their free wine tasting evenings are brilliant and a fantastic idea. If you havn't been to one yet go to one soon. I think they said there is one in 2 weeks time. There is always a real nice atmosphere and everyone seems to enjoy themselves, plus the wine tasting guy they get in seems to know his stuff. Everytime we've gone we've always ended up buying a few of the bottles that we sampled.

Saw the wine tasting on facebook so decided to try them. Very nice couple offering a range of wines you don't normally see in the supermarkets. It was my first visit but it will not be my last.
