i agree. The carvery is excellent. YOu have to get there early as it is very popular. If you have room they also have a great apple crumble and custard for desert.
the hogsmill is only second best to the Glyn arms.. i know it's a bit of a treck but.. it is way better than the hogsmill (though same company).. the queues are a testamount to that... why bother with mediocre.. get in early at the old Glyn arms.. not sure what it's called officially now.. but it's right opposite Ewell west/east(not really sure) station.
I've went to the Hogsmill last November during the week. I would say you do get value for your money however in terms of portions, however I wasnt too impressed by dirty plates, cuttlery which were offered clean. On the whole I think the staff as friendly but I wouldnt say they are genuine.
Ganleys in Morden serve the best roast dinner and there is plenty of it. The dinners are so big two people could share one portion. Definitely value for money too.

The Drill on Cheam Common Road. All fresh food.. and gorgeous gravy. Its only £4.95 too.
