More Than Lofts

I forgot to give a big Worcester Park 'Hoorah!!"to 'More Than Lofts' who have finally opened their office/shop on Central Road (in the old Ember Travel unit) after dawdling over the fit out for nearly 6 months.

The end result is a laminate-floored office with a fitted shower unit in the corner. Presumably it's designed as a showroom feature - so if you do want to know what a shower unit would look like in the corner of your laminate-floored office then you know where to go.

One obvious flaw in their business model is that they do not, as yet, appear to be offering a hairdressing service. I'm sure this unfortunate oversight will be corrected very shortly (well, within the next six months at least).

They will, naturally, have a range of charity clothing available to purchase shortly.

The Worcester Park Blogger made me laugh out loud with this blog entry :-D

Its noisy here at the moment with the groans and cheers watching Murray in the Oz Open...

Not particularly good of you trying to bash a Worcester Park based company, owned by a Worcester Park based man that is trying to pay wages rather than kit out his office as he'd like, during the worst recession of recent times.

Maybe instead of knocking the company you should ask why there has been a delay?

I regularly read and enjoy your blog, and respect what you do, but upon reading this post I find myself questioning your motives for producing the blog if you are going insult rather than aid local businesses.

A fine blog post whose (harmless and usual witty) humor clearly passes over the heads of some who clearly fail to realise that this post is clearly a form of free advertising and support for this newly establised local trader.

Also perhaps they could also get Roxy Music to reform and sing a bastardised version of "More than this" for a Radio Jackie jingle.

Just in case you were wondering what they do more than lofts as I was.

Maybe the idea is to get Bryan Ferry to stand in the shower and sing into the shower head?

Now that would draw in the crowds.

If lack of cash was behind the delay in More Than Lofts kitting out their shop, as one of your commentators says above, then I suppose thats understandable in this recession.

But the company has done itself no favours - displaying the shop in a half-finished state for months on end is hardly creating a good impression.

For a few quid they could've knocked up a couple of display boards with photos and details of the work they do etc. and put those up in the window. It would have screened off the unfinished works but more importantly would have been a great way to promote the company instead of wasting six months rent on an empty shop unit.

I've used More Than Lofts in the past and they are a great company with a good reputation locally, but I think they've let themselves down with the whole shop thing.

This free publicity really does work. I read about More Than Lofts for the first time on the Worcester Park Blog yesterday and I'm going straight down there this morning to purchase one of their lofts - even though I live in a ground floor flat!

Due to concerns that humour has broken out upon this post, I’ve been appointed oversee the comments left under it. I shall be writing down the names of any offenders on my clipboard and will forward the list to the higher authorities. Make my day, that would!

And if any one of you lot so much as hints at a reference to Roxy Music, I shall be passing details of the offending ‘jealous guy’ straight to Worcester Park Police Office, for an immediate response … if it’s open.

I HATE YOU BLOGGER!

I can picture Bryan Ferry in that shower singing "come on, come on Lofts get together"

Can I be a crony please? I learnt knot tying in the guides but don't think a lynch mob is really necessary. This is Worcester Park after all, not Virginia Plain for goodness sake.

Yeah, power to the people. Lets overthrow the loft-bourgeois of Worcester Park with our petty insults and Brian Ferry parodies.

This ultra soft launch, with its 6-month long, strategic, ‘down tools’ withdrawal, on all fronts has successfully lulled Worcester Park’s residents into a totally false sense of sluggishness.

The perceived inability to organise a loft conversion in a purpose built loft conversion showroom was all part of a unique, cunning, marketing master plan.

Very soon, KT4 will be taken with thunderclap surprise, by this victorious, sales winning store. And within no time, the whole of Worcester Park will be begging to have its loft converted!
