A Mini Adventure?

I had a few hits on the blog over the weekend from people looking for information on 'Worcester Park police car chase'.

Today The Brinkster is also reporting on his blog that there was some speedway action involving a Mini Cooper (boo hiss) and police cars (hooray) in Worcester Park on Saturday night.

Did you witness any of the action?

I live in Grafton Road and was woken at 3 a.m on 20 December 2009 by police sirens and a car chase down the road heading away from the A240 and towards Worcester Park Station.
This was followed by the sound of a circling police helicopter in the distance. Got no sleep after that!!

I heard a rumour that the driver was a well known Premiership footballer who was drink driving !

have you noticed the lovely troughs of flowers which have been attached to the railings all the way up the High Street and also after 50 years (wen I first lived here) we have hanging baskets on each of the lamp-posts, it make you feel that Worcester Park is cared about again and not just a forgotten borough. Lets hope some mindless yobs or people the worse for wear from drink don't damage them after all the work the Council have put in making Central Road attractive and welcoming.
